Sweet Congee

A warm, gentle breakfast with Asian roots: this sweet congee is smooth and creamy, and can be topped with fresh fruit or nuts. A calm and comforting way to start the day that keeps you full and feeling good.

Ingredients

100g jasmine rice
800ml water
400ml Oat Algae Drink

Toppings:

100g fresh berries
2 tbsp flaxseeds

Instructions

1. Soak the rice in cold water for at least half an hour, then drain and rinse well.

2. Bring the water and Oat Algae Drink to a boil, then add the rice. Bring to a boil again, then let it simmer on low heat for about 45 minutes. Cover the pot, leaving a small gap open. Stir occasionally.

3. Divide the cooked congee into bowls.

4. Wash and slice the berries, then add them along with the flaxseeds on top of the congee and serve.
